This post probably won’t be very exciting to you unless you are a photographer and even then the word “exciting” might be pushing it, but being the super geek that I am… I am super duper excited. That is because these photos are SOOC baby! Meaning they are STRAIGHT OUT OF CAMERA from my Contax 645. No editing. Zip zero nada. Not even a levels or curves adjustment. Could they use it? Maybe. Could I have done better? Always. But I wanted to share my first batch of film back from the lab. If you are wondering, what the big deal is then you probably don’t realize how much time photographers spend editing their photos. Yes, you need to get it right in camera (meaning you want to get your metering and composition right when you actually take the photo) but there is always more work to be done (to at least get the look that I like). I spend a lot more time editing photos than I do actually taking them. So the chance that I may not have to spend hours editing has me optimistic and thrilled. These photos aren’t “all that” and I normally wouldn’t share all of these but I am pretty happy all in all. These were from one roll of 120 Kodak Porta 400 film and shot with my Contax 645 around 4pm in the afternoon.
