Some of my favorite people are becoming first time Moms (and Dads!) this summer and I am SO excited. And not just because I have beautiful maternity models to photograph. I have known Kelly’s husband for more than half my life (we don’t need to talk numbers here, but it’s a looooong time). I clearly remember the night over beers at a bar downtown when he told me about his first date with Kelly. I love first date stories and he had a good one. He also had recently been on a first date with another woman, but I remember liking this “Kelly girl” and obviously, so did he. Fast forward a bit and now after beach trips and many backyard bbqs of them “putting up” with our crazy kids, it’s our turn to watch them with their crazy kiddo and I couldn’t be more happy that first date worked out like it did.

Awww, Jody – I love the pictures. And I also remember that you were one of the first friends of Kevin’s that I met because I know he wanted to see if you approved.
The thing that I love most about these photos other than the fact that they are gorgeous, is that they capture how easy going and relaxed Kelly is all the time. Kevin and Kelly are two of my best friends – and the fact that Kevin (who I knew first) could have found someone to make me like him even more is just perfect. Kelly, Jody – I love you two. Kelly – that baby is going to make all of us ridiculously happy. xoxo
WOW!! I love watching all you gals blossom with “mother-hood” stuff!! All my kids have to remember their Mom preggers is a couple of photos taken when I was “with child(Jody)” to show my Dad who was in Viet Nam at the time, what my Mom made me wear
